Meet Our Staff

Learn Who We Are

  • Connie Y. Gao D.D.S.

    Dr. Gao graduated from University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 1998 with a degree in Biochemistry, minor in Biology. She then attended Columbia University, College of Dental Medicine in New York City and received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2005. She also completed one year General Residency Program at New York Hospital of Queens in Flushing, New York. Upon completing her residency, Dr. Gao took advanced courses on orthodontics and provides orthodontic treatment to both children and adults. Her interest in science, combined with a love of art, led her to establish a career in family and aesthetic dentistry.

  • Peter Michaelson D.M.D.

    Since graduating from UCONN Dental School in 1981, I have seen many different methods and models of dental practice. I enjoy discovering each patient's unique situation, wants and needs. The challenge of designing the perfect treatment plan for each patient, utilizing today's materials and methods consistent with proven principals of sound dentistry, is something I enjoy every day.

  • Jason Hernandez D.M.D.

    Born in New York but raised in southeastern Connecticut, Dr. Hernandez is proud to call Connecticut his home. Dr. Hernandez graduated from the University of Connecticut Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in Molecular Cell Biology. He graduated from the UConn School of Dental Medicine in 2011. He received a certificate for completion of a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry from Lutheran Medical Center Eastern Shore Maryland.

  • Silviu Barzoi D.D.S.

    Dr. Barzoi received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Stony Brook University in Long Island, New York graduating with Magna Cum Laude and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the world-renowned New York University. Dr. Barzoi worked as a Navy Dental Corps Officer honing his clinical skills and furthering his dental education with courses taught at the Naval Post Graduate School, a part of the famous Walter Reed Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD.
